It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything. Just wanted to let you know that we’re still here! Year 3 is in it’s second half, and we’ve got about 20 consistent tutors; THANK YOU!

All but one of our tutors from last year, is returning for our Third Year!

Our starting lineup includes Garrett, Dan, Vivek, Marcia, Hallie, Karen, Frank, Bob, Jeanine, Elizabeth, Mike, Steph, and Angela.

Our newest tutors are Megan and Su, and our new subs are Stephanie M, Tracie, and Becki.

We’re very excited that all but one of our tutors from last year will be returning this fall! Your consistency is so important to the kids and to us. Thank you! We’re looking forward to a great year!

Tonight we had our kick-off get-together for 313-ers.  Thanks everyone who came out!

We are getting our schedules together as well as scouting out some subs to fill in the gaps for us this fall. If you know of anyone, please let us know ASAP!!! We’d like to get some consistent volunteers so that the kids can get to know them (instead of just passing the time with them).

We’re so excited to get Year Three off to a great start! Thanks for joining us!

We’re up and running again! We’ve set our Fall schedule and we’re excited to meet with out tutors/mentors to talk about this Season’s happenings on Sunday, September 14th in Ann Arbor.

On Saturday, we said ‘Goodbye’ to Lisa, our longtime Tutor and Friend. Lisa will be leaving in January to work in IJM’s field office in Cambodia. We will miss her, and pray for her protection, safety, and blessing upon the lives she will touch in Cambodia.

You missed us, huh? Well, we’re back on October 20th! We’ll be in Detroit at CDC every other Saturday through December 15, and resuming January 19.

The 313 Group is on break for the summer. Watch for program updates in late-August.

In the meantime, we’re working hard to bring you the 2nd Annual Serve Detroit Day, Saturday, August 11th, in conjunction with the Royal Oak Vineyard and LOGOS COGIC Church in Detroit.

This weekend’s awards ceremony and the Tigers v. Mets game that followed was heaps of fun and I’ve uploaded a few pictures from the day to a flickr photo set.
